Description
Two squares of hand crocheted grey sit on the chest of this shirt. They are made by hand in Marrakech, by the same mother and son who crochet every jacket in the house, and they are the reason the Zebra Mirage Shirt is not simply a printed shirt.
The pattern does the rest. Ink stripes ripple across an ecru ground, breaking and reforming the way heat distorts a horizon. That is where the name comes from. A solid ecru yoke and a structured collar hold the top of the garment still, so the movement reads as design rather than noise.
Cut boxy with a dropped shoulder and short sleeves, it works open over a plain T-shirt or buttoned as the loudest thing in the outfit. The matching Zebra Mirage Shorts complete the set.
