Description
Taous is the peacock. In Moroccan decorative craft it appears on ceramics, on painted wood and on embroidered textiles, always facing a mirrored twin, always framed by foliage. Here two of them sit on the front of an ivory linen shirt, embroidered in a single deep blue.
The restraint is the design. One colour, one motif, nothing else on the garment. The linen keeps it light enough for real heat, the cut stays relaxed with short sleeves and a camp collar, and ornamental buttons finish the front.
